Affiliate Disclosure

Stop Dog Barking is reader-supported. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links, which means that if you click one and go on to buy a product, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. You never pay more for using our links.

How we choose what to recommend

Our recommendations are not for sale. We only ever suggest products that fit our humane, force-free philosophy — we do not and will not recommend shock collars or any device that works through pain or fear, affiliate commission or not. If we wouldn’t be comfortable using something around our own dogs, it doesn’t go on this site.

Where we review products, our opinions are our own and are based on the product’s features, design, and how well it fits a humane training approach. An affiliate relationship never changes our honest assessment, and we will always tell you a product’s drawbacks as well as its strengths.

Which programs we take part in

We participate in affiliate programs run by humane pet-product companies and reputable affiliate networks. When you buy through one of our links, the retailer pays us a referral fee, which helps keep this site running and our guides free to read.

Your trust comes first

The whole point of this site is to help you and your dog with honest, kind, evidence-based advice. Earning a commission will never come before that. If you ever feel a recommendation here is off, please let us know.

This disclosure is provided in the spirit of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, and equivalent guidance in other regions.
